It’s hard to put into words how crazy the last few months have been. A series of tap room events including Hive Aid and Glastonbrewery as well as our fairly epic WarriorFest beer festival have all been huge fun and also taken a lot of our time when alongside the day to day runnings of the brewery. So it’s exciting to finally share with you our progress on the new brewery. As we’ve already released the new site is located directly behind our current brewery and tap room but represents a huge increase in work space, adding an extra 400m2 to the existing combined space of roughly 200m2.
So what’s the plan? Well building works have finally begun, WHOOP! Walls are beginning to come down and go up in appropriate places and the plan is beginning to become a reality. Below you can see the layout for the new vessels.
In the top left we have the Cold Liquor Tank (Blue), Hot Liquor Tank (Red) followed by the Kettle and Mash Tun (Weird purple/horrible slime colour). At the bottom (Fig 1) are the 8 green circles representing the 20 Barrel fermenters and to the right of them is the footprint for the new canning line (I don’t know what that colour is…Hessian? Turd?).
This whole area as well as our new cold store will have a brand new heavy duty, textured hard wearing floor that will have a slight fall leading into each of the new drainage channels (the blue strips in Fig 1).
There’s loads to do so if you don’t mind we’re going to crack on but we’ll keep you updated along the way. Exciting times ahead and thank you all for making this happen!
